ហេតុអ្វីបានជាអ្នកដាក់ពាក្យប្រលងដើម្បីទៅ UWC?

Question 1: 

Why did you choose to apply to go to UWC?

ខ្ញុំបានដាក់ពាក្យទៅកាន់ ​UWC ក្នុងបំណងនៃការទទួលបាននូវការអប់រំដែលល្អបំផុតមួយនៅលើពិភពលោក ក៏ដូចជាបទពិសោធន៍ដ៏មានតម្លៃដែល UWC ផ្តល់ឲ្យផងដែរ។ ខ្ញុំពិតជាមានកិត្តិយសយ៉ាងខ្លាំងដែលត្រូវបាន ជ្រើសរើសជាតំណាងនៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជានៅ​ UWC Atlantic នៅចក្រភពអង់គ្លេសដោយគណៈកម្មាធិការ​ UWC កម្ពុជា។

I applied to go to UWC in the hope of undergoing one of the best education systems in the world as well as the life-changing experience UWC offers. I am honored to be chosen by the national committee to represent and showcase Cambodia at the United World College of the Atlantic in the United Kingdom.

តើអ្នករំពឹងទុកយ៉ាងដូចម្តេចខ្លះចំពោះ UWC និង ខ្លួនអ្នកផ្ទាល់ មុនពេលអ្នកទៅដល់សាលា UWC ប្រសិនបើអ្នកអាច រំលឹកឡើងវិញ?

Question 2: 

What were your expectations about UWC and yourself before you went to UWC if you could recall any?

មុនពេលដែលខ្ញុំចាកចេញទៅ UWC Atlantic រាល់ថ្ងៃពោរពេញទៅដោយក្តីរំភើបញាប់ញ័រនិង ការស្រមើស្រមៃពីអ្វីដែលជីវិតរបស់ខ្ញុំនឹងក្លាយទៅជាយ៉ាងណា។​​ ខ្ញុំបានរំពឹងគិតថានឹងត្រូវបានហ៊ុំព័ទ្ធដោយ បុគ្គលដ៏អស្ចារ្យមកពីជុំវិញពិភពលោកដែលយកជាប់ខ្លួននូវរឿងរ៉ាវដ៏គួរឲ្យ​ចាប់អារម្មណ៍និងវប្បធម៌ដ៏អស្ចារ្យជាមួយពួកគេ​ ដូចជាខ្ញុំដែលស្ពាយជាប់ខ្លួននូវកេរ្តិ៍មរតកដ៏រុងរឿងរបស់ខ្មែរនិងសេចក្តីស្នេហាជាតិរបស់ខ្ញុំ។ ក្នុងពេលជាមួយគ្នានេះដែរ ខ្ញុំបានព្យាយាមកុំឱ្យមានការរំពឹងទុកច្រើនពេក​ ហើយបែរមករៀបចំត្រៀមខ្លួន ប្រឈមមុខនូវអ្វីដែលនឹងមកដល់នៅពេលដែលខ្ញុំនៅទីនោះ។

Before my departure to Atlantic College, every day was filled with excitement and wild imagination of what my UWC life is going to be. I had a vision of being surrounded by amazing individuals from all over the world, who carry their inspiring stories and unique cultures with them, the same way I hold my Cambodian heritage and patriotism dear to me. At the same time, I tried not to have too many expectations and rather be prepared to be blown away once I am finally there.

តើការរំពឹងទុកទាំងនោះបានផ្លាស់ប្តូរយ៉ាងដូចម្តេចទៅឥឡូវនេះដែលអ្នកនៅ UWC? តើមានអ្វីថ្មីដែលអ្នកយល់ដឹងអំពីខ្លួនអ្នកនិងចំណង់ចំណូលចិត្តរបស់អ្នកដែររឺទេ?

Question 3:

How have those changed so far now that you are at UWC? Anything new you learn about yourself and your passion?

“ ប្រាសាទនៅក្បែរសមុទ្រ” និង​ “Hippie Hogwart”​ គឺជាអ្វីដែលសាលាយើងត្រូវបានគេស្គាល់នៅលើឆាក អន្តរជាតិ​។​ ទីនេះគឺជាកន្លែងដែលក្សត្រនិងសិស្សសាមញ្ញមកពីលើសពី ៩០ ប្រទេស​ រស់នៅជាមួយគ្នា និងបំផុសស្មារតីគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមកជារៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃ។ សព្វថ្ងៃនេះខ្ញុំកំពុងសិក្សានៅ​ UWC Atlantic ជិតមួយឆ្នាំហើយ​ និងបានបញ្ចប់ឆ្នាំទីមួយ​នៃ IB។ ខ្ញុំអាចសម្រេចបានថាការរំពឹងទុកអ្វីក៏ដោយដែលអ្នកមាន UWCនឹងរកវិធីឆ្លងលើសពីការរំពឹងទុកទាំងនោះជានិច្ច។ បទពិសោធន៍ដែលខ្ញុំទទួលបានគឺហួសពីអ្វីៗ ទាំងអស់ដែលខ្ញុំបានស្មានមុនពេលមកទីនេះ ដែលបញ្ជាក់ពីគុណតម្លៃដ៏វិសេសវិសាលនិងពិសេសបំផុត របស់ UWC ។ ចំណងមិត្តភាពដែលត្រូវបានបង្កើតនៅទីនេះ​គឺរឹងមាំនិងមិនអាចបំភ្លេចបាន ពោរពេញទៅ ដោយក្តីស្រឡាញ់ដែលធ្វើឲ្យភាពខុសគ្នារបស់យើងទាំងអស់គ្នា ហាក់បីដូចជាមិនសំខាន់ឡើយ។ UWC គឺជាសម្ព័ន្ធមិត្តដែលលើកស្ទួយសមភាពនិងសន្តិភាពផងដែរ​។​ សិស្សទាំងអស់ត្រូវបានជំរុញឲ្យនិយាយ អំពីបញ្ហានានាដែលពិភពលោកកំពុងតែជួបប្រទះ ក្នុងបំណងអប់រំគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមកនិងក្លាយទៅជា អ្នកផ្លាស់ប្តូរពិភពលោកនាថ្ងៃអនាគត។ រាល់ថ្ងៃនៅទីនេះគឺជាបទពិសោធន៍ថ្មី ធ្វើឲ្យខ្ញុំមានក្តីសង្ឃឹមនិង ពោរពេញទៅដោយថាមពលដែលជំរុញខ្ញុំឲ្យប្រឹងប្រែងឲ្យអស់ពីសមត្ថភាពចំពោះឱកាសទាំងអស់ដែលបានផ្តល់ឲ្យខ្ញុំ។​

“Castle by the sea” and “Hippie Hogwart” are what we are known internationally, where royals and normal students from over 90 countries live together and inspiring each other every day. Now that I have been at Atlantic College for almost a year and have completed my first year of the IB, it is safe to say that whatever expectations you have, UWC will always find a way to go above and beyond those expectations regardless. All my imagination of what my life in the castle by the sea would be like has been blown away so many times, further substantiating how valuable and exceptional this experience that UWC offers is. The bonds and friendships forged here are strong and unexpectedly memorable, filled with love where differences seem insignificant, yet empowering. UWC does not only promote diversity, but also equity and peace, where every student is given a voice to speak about issues as a way to educate each other and become the “changemakers” of the world. Every single day here is a new experience and the feeling of waking up to new challenges gives me the energy and adrenaline to do my best and enjoy every opportunity offers to me to the fullest.

How does your school handle the pandemic and safety for the campus community?

UWC Atlantic បានគ្រប់គ្រងស្ថានភាពកូវីតបានយ៉ាងល្អនិងមានប្រសិទ្ធភាព​ ទោះបី ចក្រភពអង់គ្លេសស្ថិតនៅក្នុងចំណោមប្រទេសដែលមានករណីកូវីតច្រើនជាងគេបំផុតក្នុងពិភពលោកក៏ដោយ។​ សិស្សទាំងអស់នៅក្នុងបរិវេណសាលាហាមដាច់ខាតចេញទៅខាងក្រៅ លុះត្រាតែមានគ្រូនៅតាម ពិនិត្យត្រួតត្រាឬពេលបវេសនកាល។ អ្នកដែលមិនមានភារកិច្ចនៅក្នុងសាលា​គឺមិនអនុញ្ញាតឲ្យចូលមកក្នុង បរិវេណសាលាជាដាច់ខាតដើម្បីការពារសិស្ស​ទាំងអស់ពីមេរោគនេះ។ ដោយសារការខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងយ៉ាង យកចិត្តទុកដាក់បំផុតរបស់សាលាក្នុងការទប់ស្កាត់មេរោគកូវីត១៩ ពួកយើង​ទាំងអស់គ្នាអាចរស់នៅយ៉ាង សុខស្រួលប្រកបដោយសុវត្ថិភាព​ ដោយមិនចាំបាច់ពាក់ម៉ាស់នោះទេ។​

UWC Atlantic has handled the Covid situation extremely well despite the UK being the 7th country with the most covid-19 cases worldwide. The whole campus has been isolated for the whole school year, where students are not allowed to go outside unless a supervisor is present, and during winter and summer breaks. Outsiders are not allowed in and students are not allowed to come into physical contact with them in any way. Thanks to the school’s relentless effort to protect and maintain the student bubble, we were to go on with our days mask-free and feeling safe during this unprecedented time.
